The entire board of trustees for ICARE is made up of scientists who have devoted their lives to finding cures and helping others.
Geiger & Hannan is a new acoustic duo based in the Washington, DC area. The duo specializes in performing original material and selected covers in its own inimitable style. Leaning heavily on carefully arranged vocal harmonies, the duo brings an exciting new sound to the DC acoustic music scene.
Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Damascus, Maryland, Matt Geiger is the son of Paul and Susan Ge
Jason Hannan was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and is the son of country singer/songwriter Hal Windham. He was heavily influenced by Charlie Waller, John Duffey, Roy Orbison, Don Rich, and Phil Everly. With Geiger and Hannan, Jason primarily sings crisp high tenor vocals, as well as occasionally lead and baritone parts. Instrumentally, he provides mandolin and lead guitar. Jason has previously worked with Waiting For Lester and the Zekiah Swamp Cats.
Matt and Jason both also continue to collaborate as members of the Clearspring bluegrass band. Geiger and Hannan will be performing near entrance throughout the day. Don`t miss this dynamic duo !!

These guys have been playing music for over 20yrs as individuals, and now as they joined together to form this group they have been voted one of the best bands around. A professional family band performing since 1995, Lydia Sylvia and Company presents a rich assortment of Old Time Bluegrass music. Recipients of a Traditional Music Scholarship for Folk Alliance 2010 in Memphis, TN. Nominated for a Washington area music award in 2009, and pre-nominated for a Grammy in 2009 for "Ten Thousand Miles." This is one Ride not to miss !! This dynamic group of musicians will be full of surprises and always packs the stage with a punch. Lydia Sylvia and Company will perform on the main stage at the Mount Airy Carnival grounds from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

Singer/Songwriter and Maryland native,"Jack Bond" started in his first band at age 13. He played on weekends for money all through High School and college. He was influenced by everything from Bluegrass and Country to Bad Company and the Beatles. Over the years, Jack has performed in many different bands, some of which include Harbison, Bond and Goddard, and The River in Washington D.C. Jack is also a Nashville Songwriter/ performer/ and Studio musician. His songwriting career includes the title cut on Roy Buchanan`s album,"That`s what I`m here for". He has performed many times at the famous "Bluebird Cafe" in Nashville. The Jack Bond Trio will be performing at the Mount Airy Canival grounds on the main stage from 12:00 am to 1:30 pm. This is one not to be missed !
